Our happy girl is 7 months old! We had a good time celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas with our two kiddos.
Mercy seems to be growing so fast! I was telling Derek the other day that it feels like we just skipped the newborn stage with Mercy, although I know it didn’t feel like it at the time.
Eating: This girl loves to eat! She nurses 5-6 times each day and usually has two other “meals” of pureed food. She has pretty much liked all the foods we’ve given her, and she really wants to eat what we’re eating.
Eli thinks he wants Mercy’s food too, so sometimes we let him try it. One night Mercy was having pureed green beans with milk and rice cereal mixed in, and Eli really wanted some. I knew he wouldn’t like it, but he tried some. Maaaaaaaaajor dramatic gag. He didn’t ask for more. 🙂
Sleeping: Mercy now sleeps all night! Well, kinda. We’re still working on letting her know that 5am isn’t an acceptable time to wake up. She normally goes to bed between 7 and 8, wakes up around 5, eats and goes back to sleep until around 8. During the day, she normally takes two naps between 1 and 3 hours long. She doesn’t love going to sleep, but she’s a pretty good sleeper once she gets there.
Other developments: Mercy is exploring lots of different sounds, but she still loves to say Dada. She also can sit up unassisted for long periods of time. She has “crawled” a tiny bit a couple of times.
Weight: 16.4 lbs (bathroom scale)
Clothes: 6, 6-9 months, size 3 diapers
Dislikes: being hungry, being laid down for a nap, and….that’s about it. She’s a pretty happy girl.
Likes: eating, bouncing, playing with her feet, her baby doll, tickles, Eli, smiling, talking, TV
